Founded by HRH The Duke of York in 2014 to support the Duke's work with Entrepreneurs, Pitch@Palace (meaning making a pitch at the palace) is a platform that supports Entrepreneurs accelerate and amplify their ideas.
In less than three years Pitch@Palace has supported more than 300 Entrepreneurs develop, and has created in excess of 3000 valuable connections. Total economic activity is over £287M with businesses with highlights including acquisitions by Apple, Twitter and other international companies.
Since 2016, Pitch@Palace Global events have taken place in Malaysia, Africa, Estonia, China, Australia, UAE, Singapore and LATAM.
HRH The Duke of York
HRH The Duke of York is strongly committed to developing links between the UK and China. The Duke of York is the second member of the British Royal Family to visit China after the visit of the Queen of England in 1986 and is by far the most frequent visited member of the British Royal Family. His Royal Highness works to build economic prosperity by focusing on Young People & Skills, Science, Technology & Engineering and Entrepreneurship.
In October 2015, during the State Visit to the UK by Chinese President Xi Jinping, The Duke of York represented The Queen accompanying President Xi at a number of events.
On April 5th, 2016, Chinese President Xi Jinping met HRH The Duke of York at the Great Hall of the People. The Duke of York introduced Pitch @ Palace project to the President and expressed the wish to bring Pitch@Palace to China to build stronger links between Chinese and British Entrepreneurs 2017.

Pitch@Palace China will select outstanding Chinese entrepreneurs with global ambitions and support them in entering the Global Market Place. Selected Entrepeneurs will have the opportunity to attend Boot Camp on 19th, May, 2017 and attend Pitch@Palace China on 22th May, 2017. The winner will attend Pitch@Palace Global at St James's Palace.
